After years of sorting through our own personal closet chaos, and that of friends and family,
we launched Closet Rx. With our combined experiences, we truly believe that we can help you discover your best self. Although based in Seattle, we work with clients across the country.

Our focus on mindful shopping habits will help alleviate the environmental impact of "over-shopping."
Thus, the practice of moving clothing through its life-cycle is important to us: resale, donation and recycling being the key.

What happens in your closet, stays in your closet.
- Barbara and Julienne

 RENEW. REUSE. REFUSE.

Julienne Kuttel, a native South African, landed in Seattle 22 years ago. Raised in a creative family, the beauty found in the most remote areas made her obsessed with the details of caring for the smallest wardrobe. After graduating the University of CapeTown, she worked as an industrial designer and pattern maker in South Africa and Germany, where she learned garment construction inside and out. Styling and wardrobe editing come naturally. A global traveler, Julienne has two teenage sons and husband Peter, who had better maintain their immaculate closets!

Barbara Malone has always believed that an orderly space brings clarity of mind. Closet organizing, and giving back, started at an early age with school clothing drives. Her career began at Tiffany & Co. in brand retailing and communications. Barbara is a Fashion Institute of Technology, NY graduate and has lived and studied in Switzerland and England. On numerous non-profit boards, she has two teenage daughters. She and husband Michael co-own the Sorrento Hotel in Seattle, whose 76 closets require constant purging.

"STYLE AND GRACE HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE AMOUNT OF MONEY ONE SPENDS, IT HAS EVERYTHING TO DO WITH EMBRACING WHO YOU ARE." - JULIENNE

"A WELL-ORGANIZED CLOSET MAKES THE START OF YOUR DAY GO SMOOTHLY. GETTING DRESSED SHOULD BE EASY AND FUN." - BARBARA
